Legend has it that School Disco was first held in September 1999 in Ormonds Restaurant in central London. This monthly event drew around 100 for the first three months. Popularity increased with regular nights in the SW1 club in Victoria in February 2000, but the event was moved after 3 months due to popularity. Moving around London over the years, the School Disco finally settled down as a weekly event at Portland Girls School W1. This quirky event has become a British tradition over the years, with pubs across the country replicating the event. To avoid missing out, Dorking hosts School Disco events regularly, and this time, its the turn of The Lincoln Arms on Friday 4th March at 9pm.
